Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that it is a call on them as leaders to ensure that their people are in safe hands.
H.E John Mahama made this remarks when he visited the family of slain MP for Mfantseman Constituency yesterday Thursday to console them.
He expressed shock and condemned the gruesome act hoping that the killers would be apprehended and brought to book.
The Member of Parliament for Mfantsiman, Mr Ekow Quansah Hayford, was shot dead by unknown gunmen on
the Abeadze Dominase–Abeadze Duadzi–Mankessim road last Friday night while returning from a campaign trip with some constituency executives of NPP.
According to Mahama MPs should be provided with armed guards for protection,
while the government work towards making the country safer for all Ghanaians.
