The spokesperson for John Dramani Mahama and former Minister of State in the erstwhile NDC administration, Joyce Bawa Mogtari , has condemned the comments made by Majority Leader, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Suame MP, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu about John Mahama’s Vice President, Prof. Jane Opoku Agyemang.
Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu in a media encounter few days ago, said that, Prof. Jane Opoku Agyemang speaks good English but, is it good enough to satisfy the ticket? to that end, the Majority leader added that let’s not forget; perish the thought, he is not wishing that, assuming John becomes the President and the next day he is no longer, is this woman capable of being described as the President of the republic?
Further stressing that, that has nothing to do with her person, he is talking about the quality in governance that could affect this country,
“is she that person?” The MP asked.
Speaking on a panel discussion GHToday Show on GHOne TV, yesterday 9th July 2020, monitored by talksafrica.com, in response to the comments made by the Suame MP, Joyce Bawa Mogtari condemned the comments saying, there is a certain sense sometimes when you open your mouth you should be careful the things you say, to that end, the majority leader should respect humanity.
According to the former minister of state, even if the noble Professor and Vice President has not served as a minister of state before, her credentials are far better and speaks volumes of her, than that of the Majority leader.
