GFA President Kurt Okraku congratulates new Kotoko CEO on his appointment


President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has congratulated newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah on his appointment.

The former GFA Presidential aspirant was officially unveiled as the Porcupine Warriors’ new CEO earlier today 7th August 2020 at the Sports Hotel in Kumasi and Kurt took to social media to congratulate his former adversary saying

“Bro, the smile on your face confirms your heart is at peace on this amazing opportunity offered you by the great Porcupine army”

“Indeed its time to #bringbackthelove to the Fabulous fam. Together lets ignite passion & create wealth for all. Good luck & always count on me. BELIEVE.” He further stated

Kurt joins Kotoko board member Kofi Amoah Abban, who has already tipped the new CEO for success saying “It is wonderful to see a lot of our fans excited with Nana Yaw Amponsah’s appointment. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors of the club, I wish him great success at Asante Kotoko! A new era begins!!!”

The former President of Division One side Phar Rangers, also received the backing of former Wa All Stars CEO, Samuel Oduro Nyarko, who said the Porcupine Warriors have gotten the right person to lead them “Kotoko has gotten a very good leader, a young astute, intelligent, and efficient person. He has the willingness to sever, I pray he severs Kotoko with the knowledge he has in football” Samuel told Otec FM

Amponsah has signed a three-year deal with the GPL giants as he looks to turn the fortunes of the club around.
