Maternity Mortality Drops 52% In KATH Records


The Komfo Anokye Showing Medical clinic (KATH) has shown it recorded more than 52% decrease in maternal mortality in 2020.

Cases tumbled from 111 passings in 2019 to 53 out of 2020.

Talking at the 2020 year’s end execution audit of the medical clinic in Kumasi, the CEO of the Clinic, Dr Oheneba Owusu-Danso ascribed the advancement to the operationalisation of the new Mother and Infant Unit.
