Veteran Ghanaian actor, Mikki Osei-Berko popularly known as Dada Boat says he was sacked by Multimedia Group his previous employer.
In an interview with Fiifi Prat of Kingdom FM, the veteran actor revealed that he worked with the multimedia group for only 4 months when he was sacked.
According to him, he had an issue with the program’s manager and in trying to settle the situation it got him sacked.
However, Dada Boat disclosed that he was living abroad with his family when the multimedia group interviewed him via Skype to employ him which motivated him to come to Ghana.
The veteran actor stated that he was asked to change his voice and sound like “konkonsa” a segment on his Radio Gold show.
“I started something like ‘Kokonsa’ [a segment on his Radio Gold show] dubbed ‘Yaw Guy’ and I was with my normal voice. Can you believe that the Programmes Manager at the time told me to change the voice and sound like the ‘Konkonsa’ character? I asked him ‘How?’. Can you believe he sent me a query letter?” he said.
“I was called to a management meeting and there was an altercation. He lied about me so I told him point-blank he was lying. They told me to retract my statement which I did. They then told me to go off air for a week which eventually terminated my contract.” he further stated.
He also disclosed how the dismissal caused him depression because he left his family abroad only to come and work here in Ghana and with just 4 months in his job he got dismissed.
