Mzbel disagrees with AK Songstress that the music industry is male bias

Ghanaian highlife artist, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah popularly known as Mzbel has shown great disagreement after AK Songstress revealed that the music industry is male bias.

In a phone call interview on Hitz fm on the Showbiz Review, Mzbel narrated that, the media promotes good music be it female or male and the music industry has more male than females so she believes the opinions AK Songstress has disclosed is false.

According to Mzbel, she gained attention in the past because she had good music and it was not as a result of she showing “cleavage” or her style of dressing. She continued saying that some promotions depends solely on the pockets of the artist and it’s management and their relationship with some media personalities and promoters.

However, Mzbel believes AK Songstress is doing a great job and appreciates the fact that she has been able to maintain herself since she knew her but advised that she plans controversies with other artists since that is also a new way of gaining more attention in the media.
“ If you have good music, don’t sit on it and wait for attention”, she said. And explained that good music and hard work alone is hard to sell these days and advised that any artist wanting more attention should do something everyone is talking about.
