The President of the Republic of Ghana H.E Nana Akufo-Addo has commissioned University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), yesterday 5th July 2020.
In a Facebook post sighted by talksafrica.com, stated that, “On Wednesday, 5th August 2020, I commissioned the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD)”
He adds “I also cut the sod for the commencement of construction of Phase Two of the University”
According to the President, The contract for Phase Two was signed on 6th May, 2020.
He revealed that, the contract which is valued at forty-nine million, eight hundred and ninety-one thousand, ninety-eight euros (€49,891,098.00) is a Turkey contract in an agreement with M/S Contracta adding that, it is set to be completed within thirty (30) months of signature of the agreement.
Nana Addo further reiterated that, the completion of UESD is yet another example of the nation’a commitment to providing quality education and skills training for Ghanaians.
