Done Deal? Nana Yaw Amponsah appointed Kotoko CEO


Reports coming in seem to confirm that Kumasi Asante Kotoko have finally appointed Phar Rangers Football Club owner, Nana Yaw Amponsah as the clubs new Chief Executive Officier (CEO).

It what may be the worst kept secret in football, the former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidential aspirant was tipped to take over the vacant position following the exit of George Amoako last month.

A report by Fox FM revealed that the club’s 12-member Board of Directors has finally agreed to appoint Nana Yaw Amponsah as the new CEO of the club.

No official announcement has been made by the club but it is reported that the club’s board will meet tomorrow, Tuesday 4th August 2020 in Kumasi before an official announcement is made by the club.

Amponsah who serves as a FIFA Intermediary has youth development at heart and also has strong international links which could expose Kotoko to the modern trends of the game worldwide, and he is expected to be awarded a five-year contract by the Board.
