No Dreams’ move for Mumuni

Former Ashanti Gold SC forward, Shafiu Mumuni, has denied reports linking him to a move to Accra-based Dreams FC.

The forward revealed this in an interview with Oyerepa FM saying that Asante Kotoko are currently interested in him as well as a number of foreign clubs “It’s not true, I have not spoken to anyone at Dreams. There are suitors from France, Spain and Portugal and in Ghana Kotoko is also around. It’s not true am joining Dreams FC,”

25-year-old Mumuni who played a key role of Ghana’s 2nd place finish at the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations was close to joining Romanian side CFR Cluj but the deal unfortunately fell through due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Mumuni made 4 appearances for the Miners during the cancelled 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League (GPL) scoring only one goal.
