The governing New Patriotic stalwart, Francis Anom Boateng has expressed worry over Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP Bernard Antwi Boasiako, affectionately called Wontumi’s
ill-comment made about John Dramani Mahama’s, Vice President Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman made ill-comment about the appointment of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as the running mate of the NDC Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

According to the Chairman, the appointment of the learned professor brings nothing to the table of the NDC, stating that, even loudmouth comedienne Afia Schwarzenegger would have been a better choice.

In response to the utterances made by Chairman Wuntumi, speaking on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show on Happy98.9FM, the stalwart stated that, there is no sense in what Wontumi said about the woman, adding that, if the person is qualified but she is in NDC and can do the work, what is he going to do with her looks.

Mr. Francis Anom Boateng, further said, Wontumi should know that Prof. Naana-Opoku-Agyemang has family members who may belong to the NPP to that end, then he comes out to condemn his looks. He further questioned that, must we use the appearance of people in politics?

He noted that, if for example, she has a good intent to give all Ghanaians say, 1000 dollars one day, does he think his comments will compel her to do so?

Francis Anom Boateng suggested that, any scrutiny of John Mahama’s Vice President should be based on her qualifications and not her personal life or her looks.

“Looking at her demeanour, you can tell she is a good woman at home; a good wife. I don’t know how you can falter that woman” He further stressed.
