Director General of the National Sports Authority Professor Peter Twumasi is eulogizing the Youth and Sports Ministry headed by Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah for delivering on their promises.
According to Professor Twumasi, the ministry of sports has been practical and realistic in their actions. He explained that, Minister Isaac Asiamah has overseen the development and renovation of sports infrastructures across the country which is unprecedented.
He also added that, the ministry is all inclusive and is looking forward to building more sporting facilities in other regions. He believes that will aid in bridging the poverty gap in the country.
“We have built quite a number of sporting infrastructures, let me commend the sports minister for a good work done, when it comes to infrastructures our record is unparalleled, The government has really done well. We will build more facilities and extend our work to other regions in order to develop more talents to see young men being respnsible in their respective homes, “He stated
Professor Twumasi noted that, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akkufo Addo has not neglected sports but rather want to create more jobs out of the sports sector to curb down the unemployment rate in the country.

Finally, speaking on the renovation projects, he reiterated that the work is ongoing at various stadia regardless the COVID-19 pandemic.He indicated that, more projects are in the pipeline. He also called on Ghanaians to supports the government in his endeavor to transform the country through sports.
‘We are still working on the renovations works of our stadia in the country, let’s supports the government to change our country for good, he has good plans for Ghanaians”
Professor Peter Twumasi took over from Mr Abdul Majeed Bawa, who was acting as the Director General of the National Sports Authority after the resignation of the substantive Director Mr Robert Safo-Mensah.
