NSA Release list of non-contact sports to resume activities

Following President Nana Akufo-Addo’s directive for non-contact sports to resume their activities, the National Sports Authority (NSA) in a press release have revealed a list of 14 sports that can resume their activities.

These sports include;

1. Athletics

2. Badminton

3. Table Tennis

4. Tennis

5. Golf

6. Power lifting

7. Weight lifting

8. Cycling

9. Draughts

10. Para Sports (individual non-contact para sports)

11. Rowing and Canoeing

12. Baseball and softball

13. Horse racing

14. Squash

However, their activities will be limited to training sessions as the NSA have suspended competitive sporting events and games till further notice as measures against the spread of COVID19.

President Akufo-Addo last night extended the ban on contact sports including football, hockey and volley till July 31 as part of Ghana’s COVID-19 fight.
