Our people are tired of the press conferences they want to see action – Sam George tells NDC

The outspoken Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has expressed worry over the many Press Conferences organized by the party as means of channeling their grievances of violent acts being perpetrated by alleged thugs of the NPP against members of the opposition NDC.

He said members of the opposition should not resort to only press conferences while the NPP thugs continue to brutulise them in the Electoral Commission’s ongoing voter’s registration exercise.

Speaking in an interview on Power 97.9 FM yesterday Wednesday 15 July 2020, monitored by, the MP has stated that, the failure of the NDC to be sturdy and face the thugs and hooligans, that have been deliberately unleashed to terrorize innocent citizens in the party’s stronghold, would affect the fortunes of the opposition NDC.

According to to him, they are only registering people so if the NPP guys misbehave because they have power and are landlords of Ghana and the NDC candidates sit aloof and watch, they would have disappointed the party.

Mr George further noted that, “Why they have them as candidates of NDC means they need to lead their people and not to sit on the fence and look on; they need to work for the party at all times.

“Look, the press conferences are many. Our people are tired of the press conferences they want to see action,” Sam George lamented.

The statements of the legislator is in response to the many allegation that members of the opposition NDC are being brutalized by the government New Patriotic Party’s sponsored thugs and hooligans at Registration Centres in some parts of the country in the ongoing voter registration exercise of the Electoral Commission.
