President Nana Addo Dankwa Akihito-Addo has commissioned seventy-five greenhouses and an Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre, yesterday 13th August 2020 at Dawhenya the biggest green village estate in Ghana, and, indeed in West Africa constructed by the Ministry of Business Development and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovations Plan.
Sharing the good news on the President Facebook wall, He said, the seventy-five (75) greenhouses can produce four thousand, five hundred (4,500) tonnes of tomatoes annually, bringing in a yearly revenue of some eleven million cedis (GH¢11 million) adding that, the facility is going to employ a total of two hundred and thirty (230) people.
“Already, vegetables from this farm are being sold at Shoprite, Farmers Market, Eden Tree, amongst others.” The post reads.
