According to reports coming out of Spain, Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu has passed his medicals ahead of a move to English Premier League (EPL) side Southampton.
The 21-year old went through the necessary physical examination in Spain and is awaiting work permit to complete the move to England.
Salisu had an impressive 2019/2020 season with La Liga club Real Valladolid, playing 31 games and scoring a single goal for the Purple and Whites, and Saints’ boss Ralph Hassenhutl moved quickly to secure the youngster as he works on solving the club’s defensive problems which has seen the Southampton side concede 59 goals this season.
Salisu joined the youth set up of Real Valladolid back in 2017, before gradually paving his way into the first team of the club.
