Sammy Awuku throws jabs at the NDC

The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku has called out on the National Democratic Congress party over its engagement in tribal politics.

The National Organiser said “the NDC is fond of engaging in tribal politics anytime it’s time for a general election”.

He thus questioned the NDC why it is fond of that acts.

Sammy Awuku who spoke in an interview on Peace Fm reiterated government’s efforts to ensuring peace and stability of the country.

He added that the ruling party has no intention of preventing any tribe from participating in the ongoing registration exercise.

“I detest this kind of tribal politics because after an election, you still have a country to run. Why is it that they (NDC) engage in such politics anytime it’s time for elections?
“This kind of politics is dangerous and should not be tolerated”, he added.

This follows recent allegations from the NDC that the NPP government was preventing a section and a group of people from registering, claiming that they are non-Ghanaians.

On Tuesday, the NDC in its weekly media briefing broadcasted video evidence to back their claims after alleging that the ruling government was masterminding the intimidation of citizens and the deployment military men and security personnel to prevent people from registering.
