Dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has said in a statement that his “Gift of God” album which was to be released this year has been postponed.
The statement said the album was postponed to next year 2021 due to the COVID-19.
It advised fans of Shatta Wale to take all precautionary measures given by Health personnel in order to protect themselves from the pandemic.
In a statement on his Facebook page, he said, “GIFT OF GOD ALBUM… Preparation towards my studio album, GIFT OF GOD #GOG is still underway, myself and my team are working tirelessly to put together a timeless album that will stand the test of time and to give all my fans and music lovers around the world an unforgettable experience”
“We were looking at dropping the album this year, but upon second thoughts looking at how the coronavirus pandemic is taken a heavy toll on mankind, we have decided to postpone the final release date to next year 2021″, the statement added.
The statement noted that the artise “will drop some singles to keep you waiting and entertained”.
He announced to his fans, that his latest single, #MissMoney, featuring Medikal is out now, urging them to continue to stream and enjoy the sweet melodies of all the other earlier released singles.
He therefore advised his fans to stay safe and take the recent pandemic seriously as they practice social distancing and other measures put in place by health officials.
“I will like to use this opportunity to admonish each and everyone to take the virus seriously because it’s real. Follow the protocols, protect yourself at all times, wear nose masks, wash your hands regularly and use hand sanitizers more often, practice social distancing.
