Streetwise praise Commey SWAG win

Streetwise Management has congratulated former International Boxing Federation (IBF) Lightweight champion, Richard Commey [29-3, 26 KOs], on his victory at the 45th Sports Writers Association Ghana (SWAG) Awards.

Commey, who is under the Streetwise banner was crowned the 2019 Professional Boxer of the Year on Saturday 10th October 2020 at the Swiss Spirit Alisa Hotel in Accra.

“Wow, what achievement, our very own Richard Commey being voted 2019 @SWAG_Ghana boxer of the for the fourth time. Congratulations to Richard and the whole Streetwise Team.” Streetwise Management stated on their official twitter handle.

Following his victory, the 33-year-old stated that he is honoured to receive his fourth SWAG award.

“First of all, I want to thank God and say a big thank you for the SWAG for this nomination and I thank everyone that voted for me and this is my four-time of winning the best boxer of the year in Ghana. Thank You and I’m highly honoured.”

Commey is currently in the United States of America (USA) as he looks to work his way back to a world title, revealing on his official twitter handle back in August “I’m back in New York safe and sound and ready to get my title back.”

Commey lost his title back in December 2019 after being knocked out by undefeated American powerhouse Teofimo Lopez [15-0, 12 KOs] who needed only four minutes to knock out the former IBF lightweight champion.
