Following their last video meeting of the 2019/2020 season the English Premier League (EPL) clubs have confirmed plans to begin the 2020/2021 season on 12th September 2020.
It is also understood that the Community Shield will be confirmed at Wembley for 30th August 2020, with the majority of EPL players set to participate in the first international break since November.
However, reports coming in reveal that the clubs have agreed that the fixture list should be agreed and published barely three weeks before the new term begins on 21st August 2020.
We will, however, have to wait until the outcome of the English Football League (EFL) Championship play-off Final before work can properly begin on what will be a congested schedule with only a maximum 32-weekend date rather than the normal 34.
