Former President of the Republic of Ghana Jerry John Rawlings has joined countless Ghanaian influential leaders across the political sector sending words of caution on the dangers of COVID-19 and the need to adhere to safety protocols by Ghanaians especially in observing their constitutional right of registering for the New Voter ID card.
He made this cautious statement, through his social media platform Twitter. He said, there are too many gatherings that ignore safety protocols and that, as Ghanaians we should through the process of the voter register without downing our guard for it be our last mistake.
According to the former President, the greater part of the fight depends on our very personal discipline and mindfulness.
“Let’s wear our masks, maintain appropriate social distancing, basic cough etiquettes, and proper hand and general hygiene protocols,” Rawlings advised.
The former President Rawlings added that the disease is there and very much around waiting to infect and claim the lives of those of us who will underestimate its danger.
“Stay safe! Stay alive!” he further stressed.
