Voter Register meaningless and unworthy- Volta NDC

The National Democratic Congress party has reiterated its stance on the compilation of a new voters register.
The NDC said the voter register was meaningless and unworthy, unless it is linked to the total liberation of Voltarians and Ghanaians.
At a press Conference today at the party’s Regional office, Regional Secretary of the Party, James Gunu noted that the NDC has picked intelligence that the NPP and the EC are planning to put people at registration centres they did not register for the card.
According to him, it is a grand scheme to frustrate Voltarians and also delete their name from the register to suppress votes.
The NDC alleges that the EC was planning more road blocks that would make it difficult for people to access the polling stations to vote.
It added that “the EC and the NPP is planning the deployment of more National security clothed NPP vigilantes and militias as part of a grand scheme to suppress our votes”.
He therefore called on Voltarians and all Ghanaians to check their names in the Voter’s register when it is time for the exhibition exercise.
“It is not just enough to have your name on the register, you must come out in your numbers and vote for John and Jane.
“Take charge of your voting centres and protect your vote for the NDC’s victory on December 7, 2020”, he added.
