Business and Financial Consultant Daniel Anim has described the legalization of commercial operation of motor bikes popularly known as Okada business in the country as a lazy move towards creating jobs for the youth in Ghana.
His comment comes on the back of former President John Dramani Mahama’s promise to legalize the commercial operation of motor bikes when voted into power in the December election.
Speaking to Talksafrica.com Daniel Anim indicated that, politicians and the government should focus on creating innovative job opportunities for the youth in the country
He explained that, the legalization of Okada business will only breed more social vices in Ghanaian communities.
“We should find an innovative way of creating jobs, legalizing motor bikes operation for commercial use looks more of a lazy approach creating jobs for the citizens”
He further advised the government to settle on legalizing Okada business in the villages but not in the cities.
“it will create nuisance in the cities so its not advisable,if there is the need to legalize motor bikes then its should be in the remote villages “He said
