Ghanaian left-back Gideon Mensah has revealed his excitement to play for Portuguese club Vitória Guimarães following his loan move to the club yesterday 31st August 2020.
19-year-old Mensah joins Vitória Guimarães on loan from Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg with the Guimaraes-based club having an option to buy the Ghanaian international for €2.2 million.
“I am very happy to have signed for Vitória. I am very focused on the goals that the team has for this season and very eager to help,” Mensah told the club’s media.
“I am a player who does all the positions on the left side, I am very offensive and I know that, in the defensive moment, it cannot be easy to pass me. I am defensively combative but I like to play, I have a good relationship with the ball and I am a very attacking propensity.” He concluded
The left-back went on loan to Belgian side SV Zulte Waregem making 23 appearances for the club in the 2019/2020 season laying off 3 assists. He is also a full Ghanaian international with 2 caps to his name.
